When I pleaded with God to tell me the truth and promised I would believe whatever he taught me. He first showed me where I needed to repent. It was hard and embarrasing. However it was clear that I needed to repent first. He then led me to specific media and would teach me then say move on. After about a year or so he took me to the old testiment and we walked together through the books he told me to go to and in a specific order. He would give me revelation about what he wanted me to learn. This was an intense study program for about 2 years. I wrote down most of the teachings be gave me.
Many religions teach that there was a first man and woman on earth, Christians focus on the disobedience of Adam and Eve which introduced sin and death into the world and often express blame upon them for the troubles of this world.
One of the first things that God opened my eyes to was this perception is wrong. He helped me to see that from this man and woman came all humanity and that even though many did not follow the teachings of their father, his teachings about God are the foundation of all religious teachings whatever words they use to express it.
The first man and woman on this earth before the fall, or whatever you would call it, walked and talked amoung the divine beings. They lived in a state of paradise and were themselves divine beings, innocent and good. For the divine beings declared that they were made in their image and were good.
God helped me to see the ingnorance of believing that the religious institution I belonged to was the one that was right while all others were wrong. He opened my eyes to see that they all can trace their roots to the first man and woman. Even though some claim divine direction to start a religious organization, and I do not doubt thier claims, however where did they first get the idea of a God, you can trace it back to the first man and woman.
Then, when I saw this I started to see God in all religions, even the religions that I felt were bad. Looking further into the teachings of religions it becomes clear they have very foundational doctrines in common and then diverge in teachings and programs.
God was answering my plea, the first truth he revealed was that the first man and woman on the earth were taught an Ancient Order, an order that existed before the world was created, it was taught to them by the divines. Even though Christians believe in only one God, the Bible teaches "thou shalt have no other gods before me", obviously there are other gods. Before that we read in the very first chapter of Gensis:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
So God says "let us" so there were other divines there and they were male and female, for the man and the woman were made in thier image.
I will discuss more about this later. Needless to say this was confronting and powerful. God opend my heart with greater love for people of all religions, not the institutions, the sincere people who like me dovote their lives to God.
So the first man and woman were taught this Ancient Order by divines before the fall, before any children were born into this wolrd.
