Feast of Thankfulness

Through covenants kept and renewed, families are transformed into heavenly beings.

Feast of Thankfulness

Understanding the Feast

The purpose of this feast is to give thanks to God for the abundance of all things he gives to us on this earth that we may have joy.

It is a feast of first fruits, gratitude, and dedication—acknowledging that all increase comes from God and should be returned to Him in thanksgiving.

The Timing

Because the Feast of Thankfulness always occurs fifty days after the Feast of Deliverance, those fifty days are set apart as a season of gratitude for the many blessings and abundance God has provided to the family.

How to Observe

During this time, families prayerfully plan ways to offer gifts to God through service to others. Covenants are reviewed, and families reflect together on their progress toward becoming a Zion people. They pray for wisdom, understanding, and obedience.

On the evening before the Feast of Thankfulness, the family gathers for a feast of thanksgiving. On the day itself, no work is done; it is kept as a day of worship and family togetherness, teaching that God is shaping us into a people who know His ways.

This feast is not an end in itself—it is part of a path leading you and your family to know God the Father and His Son. Every observance, every teaching moment, every act of obedience draws you closer to Them.

If you have questions about observing the feasts in your family, or would like to learn more about the patriarchal way of worship, I'd be glad to hear from you.
